Branding for Thunderbird Trade Services

Established in 2018 by Brisbane-based sparky and hardcore Tron fan, Nathan, Thunderbird Trade Services has an old-school customer-focused approach to electrical services. Focused on providing a high quality, attention-to-detail professional yet personable experience, Nathan was seeking to differentiate himself from all the other sparkies around town.

Determined to build a brand to reflect Nathan’s unique style, we drew inspiration for Thunderbird’s logo from his Tron obsession and the Algonquian mythical creature "thunderbird". Our custom typeface was designed to incorporate both Nathan’s precision with the fluidness representative of the power cables he’s mastered. We then expanded his brand to reflect the air and electrical sides of his business, developing a tradesman tough business card and a website as straightforward and practical as him.

Since we created Thunderbird’s unique brand, Nathan’s business has grown so quickly he’s had to hire an apprentice to help him keep up with how busy he is and has hit the seven figure revenue mark in just 12 months. Plus, people are so enthralled with his business cards, they always ask twice if they can keep them.
