Domestic and family violence has long been our national shame and a complex problem that the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet were determined to address head on by commissioning the Not Now, Not Ever report. With the aim of pushing for social and legislative change, the report highlighted the ongoing problem of domestic violence, telling the story of survivors and victims, and those working towards ending the violence.
Our Creative Overlord led and directed the team that was brought in to conscientiously and mindfully design the report in a way that both dealt with the subject matter sensitively, and also demonstrated the resourcefulness and daring it takes to implement change. To symbolise the sensitivity of this subject she used her own original and tenderly hand painted watercolours, as well as subtle textures in the canvas-like stock cover and a colour pallet that evoked subtle emotions of compassion, belief and hope.
This report was nationally recognised and helped affect parliamentary change on a state level.
